Nearby Airports
The main airports serving Mexico City are:
Mexico City International Airport (AICM / Benito Juárez International Airport) – the primary airport serving the city
Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA / NLU) – a secondary airport serving the greater Mexico City area
Toluca International Airport (TLC) – another alternative airport for the metropolitan region
For most international travelers, AICM is the most convenient arrival airport.
Transportation options from the airport
Taxi or ride-hailing apps: These are the most convenient options for direct travel within the city, though airport ground transportation rules may vary by airport.
Public transportation: Mexico City has extensive public transportation, but first-time international visitors may find taxi or app-based transportation more convenient, especially when traveling with luggage.
Mexico City offers both Metrobús and Metro. From AICM, the most convenient public option is usually Metrobús Line 4, which departs from Terminal 1 (gate 7) and Terminal 2 (gate 2). The host hotel is located very close to Perisur station on Metrobús Line 1. Public transportation may be a practical option for experienced travelers, although taxi or ride-hailing services may be more convenient for first-time visitors arriving with luggage.
Optional private airport transportation: Participants who prefer a private transfer from AICM may contact a trusted local transportation provider directly. This is an optional service, is not included in the registration fee, and must be arranged and paid for individually by each participant.
